ErgoQuest Marks 28 Years of Ergonomic Workstation Innovation
(From Left to Right) Zero Gravity Workstation 7b and Zero Gravity Workstation 0b-1
Since 1997, ErgoQuest has been creating customized solutions that help professionals continue working despite pain, disabilities, and physical limitations. The company has designed 40+ products and served clients in 25 countries across fields such as radiology, video editing, programming, financial trading, and art and design.
Two of ErgoQuest’s signature products are the Zero Gravity Workstation 0b and the Zero Gravity Workstation 7a. The ZGW-0b allows users to work in four positions: sub-supine, fully reclined, zero gravity, and standing. The ZGW-7a minimizes reaching and pulling by allowing the monitor and keyboard to tilt with the chair.
ErgoQuest has recently launched updated versions of these products: the Zero Gravity Workstation 0b-1 and the Zero Gravity Workstation 7b. The 0b-1 includes a second articulating monitor arm, a motorized headrest, and a motorized, articulating footrest with in/out adjustment. The 7b features a motorized backrest and motorized articulation of the seat angle relative to the back angle.
“Absolutely the most comfortable chair I’ve ever had,” said Paul Van Buren, a recent 7b client. “Able to do hours of work on the big screen computer setup.”

About ErgoQuest: In 1997, Jeff Vanden Bosch founded ErgoQuest as part of his Graduate Design studio at the University of Michigan, in collaboration with Herman Miller through a program called “Designed for Learning.” The company worked with the campus Disability User Group to create customized office furniture for Disability Computing Sites. Soon after, the State of Michigan Division of Vocational Rehabilitation began partnering with ErgoQuest to design solutions that help individuals re-enter the workforce.
ErgoQuest’s production facility is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan—home to major office furniture manufacturers such as Steelcase, Herman Miller, and Haworth—giving the company access to a wide network of vendors, including OMT-Vehyl, Logicdata, Jiecang, and specialized engineering services.
