How Dr. Ravi Saved His Radiology Career with a Zero Gravity Workstation 0b-XL
I had to have back surgery about a year ago, and I found that because of my chronic back problems and disc herniations that I was unable to sit and do my job for 8 hours and 90 degrees [position] in a regular chair. I thought about getting a standing chair but I had also torn my left knee ACL and I couldn’t stand for more than an hour at a time. And so I thought, ‘Man, how am I going to continue my career if I can’t sit and I can’t stand to read my images?’
And then I found this [the 0b-XL workstation] which allows radiologists to read in any position including lying down recumbently. And you can position the chair, position the monitors, in any position that you’re physically able to and continue to read your imaging studies.
It’s helpful for anyone who has had surgery and has mobility problems, anyone who has difficulty sitting in 90 degree [position].
