Working in a reclined position can help you manage pain, increase productivity, and succeed in your career. Jeff Vanden Bosch established ErgoQuest in 1997, inspired by a collaborative project between the University of Michigan and Herman Miller called “Designed for Learning.” The University engaged ErgoQuest to partner with its Disability User Group to create customized office furniture for new Disability Computing Sites on campus. Following this, the State of Michigan’s Division of Vocational Rehabilitation began working with ErgoQuest to develop solutions that enabled clients to return to work.
Over the past 25 years, word has spread about our expertise; today, ErgoQuest continues to design tailored solutions that empower individuals with pain, disabilities, or physical limitations across 25 countries and diverse fields such as radiology, video editing, programming, financial trading, and design. We are committed to ongoing innovation—developing new products so our clients can focus on their work without being distracted by discomfort.
Our production facility is located in West Michigan—a region renowned for global office furniture manufacturers like Steelcase, Herman Miller, and Haworth—which provides us access to an extensive network of vendors including OMT-Vehyl, Logicdata, Jiecang as well as specialized engineering services.
ErgoQuest’s newly renovated 4,000-square-foot showroom is situated near downtown Grand Rapids—also known as “Furniture City”—a community rich in furniture-making history featuring companies such as Berkey & Gay Furniture Company and Stow & Davis.
