Repairs & Returns FAQs
Q: What happens if I want to return my workstation or chair?
A: We offer a 30 day trial period. Since the chair is customized, we require a 10% restock fee and you would be responsible for the shipping costs both ways. For more information, see our Fulfillment Policy.
Q: Do you buy your workstations back?
A: We are not interested in buying our workstations back; it just does not make sense financially. We would have to hire someone to pack it up on a shipping pallet and then hire a freight company to pick it up with a special liftgate truck. After receiving it, we would have to strip it down and rebuild it if it happens to be an older model.
I get calls occasionally from people asking for setup instructions who have purchased our products secondhand, so I know there is a secondhand market. If you have an ErgoQuest workstation you no longer need, I would try listing it on Ebay or Facebook Marketplace where you could sell it to someone local who could pick it up at your office and pay you cash.
Q: I'm moving and I don't have space for the original workstation anymore. What should I do?
A: ErgoQuest will pay to have the workstation shipped back to our production facility. After we have received it back we can offer two options:
Option 1: refund
Option 2: Replace the workstation with a customized, reduced size version that will work in the space you have available.
Give us the dimensions of the new space you have available.
You can first sell the workstation to a third party for as much as you can get. If you are not successful, you can go with option 1 or 2 as a backup.
Q: Are the ErgoQuest motorized components standardized and can be found elsewhere if needed? Also, would a technician be available to install the parts if needed?
A: No, not standardized. We can provide a tech, but one is usually not required since replacing the electrical components is quite easy and non-technical.
Q: What happens if a part is missing? Can I report it?
A: Yes, we will fabricate it and ship it to you.
Q: My control box got damaged. What should I do?
A: The control box may not be damaged; it may just need to be reset.
Try this:
1. Hook the box back up to the backrest motor and plug into wall socket
2. Push the down button until the column is completely retracted and keep holding the down button for another 10 seconds
3. Now push the up button
Q: The remote controller does not work and has a twinkling red light. What do I do?
A: Just unplug the control box for a few minutes and the blinking light will reset.
Q: How do you conduct necessary maintenance and repair in a foreign country?
A: Repairs are very rare. We work with local contractors to do the work when required.
